Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid 2026

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid 2026 and the Salamanca district

September changes the rhythm of Madrid.

The terraces return, exhibitions open, new collections arrive and the city seems to enter a new season. From 14 to 19 September 2026, fashion will take centre stage in the city with the Spring/Summer 2027 edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

For six days, established designers, new generations and emerging talent will turn different spaces across the capital into stages for fashion. Organised by IFEMA MADRID with the support of Madrid City Council, the event brings Spanish fashion into venues across the city rather than concentrating the programme in a single location.

But, as with so many things in Madrid, the experience does not end when a show does.

It is also found in the streets, shop windows, cafés, restaurants and in the way you move through the city.

And this is where the Salamanca district has plenty to say.

What is Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid 2026?

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid returns to Madrid from 14 to 19 September, bringing together some of the most recognised names in Spanish fashion alongside new talent and emerging designers.

The September 2026 event is the Spring/Summer 2027 edition of MBFWMadrid, with a programme built around established designers, emerging talent, craftsmanship and contemporary Spanish fashion.

The 2026 edition once again takes the conversation beyond the runway. Different spaces across Madrid will host part of the programme, bringing fashion, architecture and culture together.

These include the Invernadero del Palacio de Cristal de Arganzuela, the Galería de Cristal del Palacio de Cibeles and the Communication and Arts Campus of Nebrija University.

The full programme and schedule can be found on the official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid website.

When Madrid becomes part of Fashion Week

During these days, fashion appears in many other places across the city.

A presentation in a gallery. A new collection in a boutique. A shop window that catches your attention as you walk by. Lunch between two appointments. A conversation that continues after the show.

Madrid has a way of turning any journey into part of the plan.

And few districts reflect this as much as Salamanca.

Along Serrano, Lagasca, Claudio Coello, Ortega y Gasset and Hermosilla, international brands share the streets with Spanish designers, independent boutiques and spaces devoted to design.

It is one of Madrid’s principal fashion districts, but also a neighbourhood made for walking without too much of a plan, stepping into a shop that was not on the itinerary and letting the city shape the journey.

Salamanca: fashion, architecture and design

The relationship between fashion and the Salamanca district goes far beyond shopping.

Here, the architecture of its buildings, restaurants, galleries, hotels and shops all form part of the same urban scene. It is precisely this mix of the classic and the contemporary that makes the neighbourhood particularly interesting during Fashion Week.

Tótem Madrid, a luxury boutique hotel on Calle Hermosilla, sits in the heart of Madrid’s Salamanca district, close to Serrano and some of the neighbourhood’s best-known fashion and design addresses.

Its location makes it easy to move between some of the most interesting spots in the neighbourhood while also returning to a quieter space when Madrid slows down a little.

Because a week dedicated to fashion also needs moments between one appointment and the next.

A day of Fashion Week from Tótem

The best way to experience Madrid during Fashion Week is probably not to try to see everything.

A show in the morning. A walk through Salamanca. A stop for lunch. An exhibition. A shop you discover along the way. And, at the end of the day, back to Hermosilla.

Tótem Madrid’s location, in the heart of Madrid’s Salamanca district, makes it easy to combine these plans and explore the neighbourhood on foot.

For guests spending several days in Madrid, the rooms and suites at Tótem Madrid provide a quieter setting to return to between the city’s different rhythms.

The hotel’s common areas are designed as spaces to pause, talk or simply take in the movement of the city at a different pace. Its cocktail bar, transformed into an urban garden, offers another small retreat within the neighbourhood.

Not everything has to happen in front of a runway.

New voices for a new season

One of the highlights of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid is precisely the meeting of different generations.

Alongside established names, the programme also shines a light on emerging talent through EGO, MBFWMadrid’s platform dedicated to new designers and emerging talent.

The final day of the September 2026 edition is dedicated to EGO, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

This is where Fashion Week becomes particularly interesting: when tradition and experimentation share the same stage.

Spanish fashion continues to evolve, embracing new perspectives without losing sight of the craftsmanship, creativity and identity that have defined it for decades.

And Madrid is the perfect place to see it happen.

Madrid, always in motion

From 14 to 19 September, Madrid dresses for the new season once again.

But Fashion Week is not simply a succession of runway shows. It is a good excuse to experience the city differently, spend time in different neighbourhoods and look at familiar streets with fresh eyes.

In Salamanca, fashion is part of the landscape all year round.

And from Tótem Madrid, in the heart of the Salamanca district, that relationship with fashion, design and Madrid begins just outside the door.

Because when the final show ends, Madrid still has plenty to say.
